We are a Boy-lead, Boy Scout troop in Alpharetta, GA. We meet at the American Legion, Post 201, and have scouts from Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, and Marietta. Please see our Troop 51 Tenets to learn more about our philosophies and principles.
We support the fundamentals of the scouting program. By using the Patrol Method, our scouts are able to develop their leadership skills, character, and responsibility.
"The object of the Patrol Method is not so much to save trouble for the Scoutmaster, as to give responsibility to the boy - since this is the very best of all means of developing character" - Lord Baden Powell, founder of the Scouting Movement
PLC: Our Patrol Leadership Council(PLC) is comprised of seasoned second, third, and fourth year Boy Scouts. They set the tone and pace of the activities throughout the Scout year. From backpacking, whitewater rafting, and rock climbing, to District and Council sponsored campouts and Merit Badge Clinics, the boys steer the way.
Adult Leaders: We are veteran Scouters, who are fully engaged and committed to our scouts' futures and hold true to the value of scouting. We serve as a "saftey net" for the scouts and continue to improve ourselves through training and continuous education opportunities.
